  • Improved data analysis speed by 5000% and accuracy by 50%, which exceeded performance targets.
  • Researched alternative record linkage implementations in CUDA C on Amazon Web Services Cloud.

Illlinois Applied Research Institute

UAV Integration Engineer Intern

  • Developed programs in Python that provide control over data collection for various UAV sensors and real-time wireless streaming of sensor data.
  • Designed and implemented solutions that enable an onboard computer to interface with UAV flight control software.
  • Assisted with developing image processing requirements and solutions.

UIUC ATLAS-SOS

Student Technician

  • Provided onsite IT support for over 20 different departments consisting of computer labs, libraries, and faculty members.
  • Communicated to new employees the structure of prioritizing, analyzing, and effectively completing support tickets submitted via ATLAS tech support to prepare them for individually assigned tasks.

Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory

Intern

  • Identified and labeled cables on computer racks and electrical systems to create a database that tracks the functionality of cables located in Fermilab buildings.
  • Designed a schematic for the cable layout of a monitoring system to organize the cables going between multiple components of the system.

Project Experience

FreeJournal

  • Developed a protocol in Python and accompanying desktop/web front-end application called Free-Journal designed to assist in the anonymous release of documents to the public using Bitcoin and cryptography.
  • Winner of the 2015 Michael S. Hughes Award in Software Engineering, Department of CS at ILLINOIS.

NASA JPL Space Design

  • Developed an autonomous algorithm in Python to identify safe and hazardous regions on given data sets.
  • Placed in Top Five performing algorithms out of a total of 39 teams.

Illini CubeSat

  • Developed a propulsion system to provide attitude control, orbital maintenance and maneuverability for a 3U CubeSat using Pro/E, AGI STK, and MATLAB software to model and run simulations.
  • Demonstrated feasibility of CubeSat concept for the NASA Europa Clipper Mission using system integration.

Illini Formula Electric

  • Headed Chassis subsystem in charge of constructing a formula-style race car chassis and other required components that have to be attached onto the frame of the chassis.
  • Conducted weekly chassis meetings, training, and practice sessions for a variety of tools including TIG welding and angle grinders so that members can make a contribution through hands-on work.
  • I was also involved in design and manufacturing for other subsystems including drivetrain, brakes, body and aerodynamics that require chassis input for their subsystem’s projects.
